A guy like Max seems to have no time for friends - constantly on the move and seemingly intentionally staying out of most conversations. But in truth, he may need companionship more than he thinks he does. While he is a tough nut to crack and it may take a considerable amount of effort to get on his good side, those who consider him a friend will find him to be a loyal, honest ally and someone to watch a vulnerable back if needed. In touch with his morals, he also won't turn a blind eye to someone who needs rescue and will do his best to support someone in need. In addition, he is open to helping younger characters/packmates/friends/etc. learn different skills, such as hunting, swimming, and sparring practices.
He is OPEN to friends and friendly encounters at all times.

Upon first glance, it's easy to see that Max has gotten in a few tussles in his life, and he's more than willing to get into many more if the situation calls for it. As a survivalist, he will do whatever it takes to come out with his belly full at the end of the day. Stubborn and sometimes headstrong, he also tends to hold grudges, and it takes quite a bit for those feelings of animosity to disperse. Even if he may not hate someone, he does get annoyed very quickly and seems to have little patience with arrogant, close-minded, and, ironically enough, other stubborn people.
He is OPEN to rivals, hostile encounters, annoyances, and NON-LETHAL fights with no major injuries.

Max is what one would call "demisexual" - he does not crush on others very easily, and any considerations of relationships come with a long-lasting, preexisting bond. As such, romantic relationships are the hardest to acquire, but will result in a loyal, doting partner who would do anything for his mate. Someone who has a great deal of patience, a good moral compass, and can fend for themselves as well as work with others is likely to be a good match for Max.
He is OPEN to relationship plots with female characters and NOT OPEN to mutual crushes without a plot.

THE CAPUTO FAMILY. Max has two younger siblings, a brother and sister, that were separated from him, and the burden of losing people he was tasked with protecting is one he has carried ever since. He still sticks to the regions of West Elizabeth, his birthplace, in the hopes of eventually finding his siblings. I am allowing for two people to adopt these characters! The siblings would have had a normal childhood growing up - when they were about 6 months old and Max was 1 1/2 years old, their parents began to succumb to disease and old age, leading to Max defending them, feeding them, etc. However, the construction of logging camps and hunting season forced the siblings to separate. Whatever events occurred to your character from that point on is up to you.
>> These characters would be 1 year younger than Max, meaning they would be around 2 years if Max is 3. Their names and personalities are up to you, but they must hold the Caputo family name. Their appearance can range anywhere from very light brown (like their mother's) to very dark brown/almost black (like their father's), or an in the middle brown like Max's, and their eye colors can vary in shades of brown (mother's) or yellow (father's). The family does do middle names (son takes on father's name, daughter takes on mother's), meaning the brother's middle name would also be Niko and the sister's middle name would be Aria; however, this is also totally optional and it can be assumed that they dropped this name if you don't want to keep it.

CORRUPTION. Max boasts a very strong compass, but one of my plans down the line is for him to slowly lose his morality (and sanity) due to a few trusted allies/high positions corrupting him morally. These characters (one or many) can befriend him and grow their bond with him, but they also eventually convince him to embrace his aggression and deal with his pack's issues, as well as his own personal conflicts, with less attention to his morals and more of a focus on revenge and destruction. Max will be blind to his changes until it is far too late and too much has been done to go back.
