It's the end of the 19th century and the end of an era. Humankind begins to expand into Mother Nature's domain, leading to disastrous consequences for the natives of the land. Many grow desperate to maintain their territory or stake their claim in any land in any way they can. As human settlement continues to threaten nature, the wolves of the five western states face a grueling decision: survival by all means necessary or die trying.
We are a semi-realistic, liquid-time, sandbox-esque wolf roleplay very loosely based off of the world of Red Dead Redemption II. Vestige offers a variety of diverse regions spanning five different states to explore, an automated shop, and user-led packs. How will you leave your pawprints on the world of Vestige?
WEATHER Snow finally arrives to the West with the arrival of winter! Ambarino's nights get colder and longer, while the states of West Elizabeth and New Hanover get their share of snowfall. New Austin and Lemoyne are spared from the frost, but there is a distinct, wintery chill in the air.
EVENTS Rumors spread of NEW PACKS FORMING throughout the five states. In addition, canines in the region of BIG VALLEY, WEST ELIZABETH are having more frequent run-ins with hunters seeking out prized commodities: wolf, coyote, and fox pelts to trade.

appearance
Species/Breed | Border Collie Lottie can be described as a less-than-imposing canine. Though she stands on the taller end for border collies, her lean, slim build makes her appear less of a threat, and she remains shorter than many wolves she comes across. She bears distinct black-and-white coloring upon her flawless, well-groomed pelt, save for the hints of brown on her paws that stain from the occasional mud she gets herself into. She meets one's gaze with piercing brown eyes that shimmer with defiance and curiosity. Lottie can sometimes be spotted in her signature light blue bandana, gifted to her by her owners. She speaks with a drawl characteristic for those of Southern belle-esque society. [REFERENCE] [VOICECLAIM = BETTE DAVIS] ALL IMAGES ARE F2U STOCK AND ARE CREDITED TO THEIR PHOTOGRAPHERS.

It's evident that Lottie, though greatly interested in the world beyond Caliga Hall, boasts little actual knowledge of the feral, wild world. Though she studies the flora and fauna of her surroundings intently, her severe lack of experience outside of the handling and instruction of her caretakers complicates her skills in survival, and she tends to become very timid and skittish in unfamiliar situations if she abandons a routine she is used to (such as the ones in place at Caliga Hall). At first glance, Lottie may seem easily disgusted by wild canines she speaks to, as she is quite used to clean, well-kept acquaintances around the manor and her former residence, Saint Denis. In spite of this, she is a genuinely compassionate and caring individual who is willing to help anyone who needs it (often begrudgingly if she believes they are unclean). Lottie is curious of the world around her and is open to being mentored by others and listening to the life experiences of those around her, but as a naive and relatively innocent dog, she can very simply be taken advantage of. She boasts a good amount of herbal knowledge that she has picked up in her free time around the farm, and she demonstrates a slight interest in medicine, despite her disgust of all things "gross" (which is, to suffice, everything that isn't clean).
history
Generation | 1 Parents | Tanner (NPC) x Antoinette (NPC) Siblings | none in the West Other family | none
Lottie was blessed with more competitive border collie genes thanks to her parents being renowned show dogs. She knows little about her parents outside of their competition experience, as she was sold by her breeders to a group of dog owners and traders in Saint Denis as a puppy after she was weaned; her siblings are just as much of a mystery, having been sold to different owners and kennels across the country as well. After a brief period in the city, she was once again sold to the owners of Lemoyne's Caliga Hall plantation to work as an albeit spoiled farm dog. She learned to get her paws dirty in order to protect the crops and livestock from the hungry outside world, but everything else remained pristine.
Even with her lavish, simple life on the plantation, Lottie grew more curious of the world beyond the farm as she ventured towards adulthood. She often studied the herbs and creatures surrounding the farm towards the forests and the swamp, taking note of their effects and appearances and interactions. The bayou had always been a fascinating, though perhaps intimidating area growing up - Lottie's night patrols along the swamp were often accompanied by whispers in the distance, as if someone wished to reach out to her in secrecy. As curious as she is about the source, she still has yet to relieve herself of her post in Caliga Hall, watching the shadows of Bayou Nwa from afar.
Burn (guest): Hello, just thought I'd say that this is a really awesome idea for a roleplay! Wolves and westerns are two of my favorite things; I'll definitely be stalking this! Best of luck with your roleplay ^^
